Kenny McCormick
Headcanons for ( @kmccormick69 )
Physical headcanons
→ He has violet eyes, and freckles over his nose. Despite all his many injuries and what people might expect, he has no scars or lasting damage from injuries on his body, and no tattoos or piercings at all. Any lasting mark made on his body is gone the next time he dies and wakes up in bed.
→ He’s pretty tall ( 6’2” ) and skinny, but he’s all lithe muscle, and is surprisingly strong. Because he often wears baggy clothes, you wouldn’t expect it at first glance. He’s agile, and ( due to lots of trial and fatal error ) skilled at parkour.
Misc. Headcanons
→ He has a bad reputation around town for just about anything you could think of — he keeps to himself ( or at least stays in his lane ) for the most part, but he’s a popular subject of rumors, maybe because most people don’t know a lot about him, only what they hear from others and what he did when he was younger.
→ In the same vein: his bark is worse than his bite ( in most cases ), and he’s not as bad as his reputation would suggest. He doesn’t do drugs often, and he’s never done anything hard. He /has/ slept around a lot, lost his virginity young, and is a flirt, but unlike some people would have you believe, he hasn’t actually slept with everyone in South Park. And it’s only for money /sometimes/. Not lately.
→ He’s done a lot of stuff in the past that he’s not proud of. He tries not to think about it, and while he doesn’t consider himself a ( literal ) born-again virgin, it feels a little better knowing that the body he has now isn’t the same one he had then.
→ He smokes cigarettes occasionally. He tries to cut back for Karen’s sake, and sometimes juuls for a nicotine fix instead, but ultimately there’s no reason for him not to smoke cigarettes — it doesn’t have any lasting effect on his body.
→ One of the many rumors about him is that he isn’t clean and has STDs, but that isn’t true. Just like everything else, they won’t have a lasting effect on his body once he dies again. He makes sure to stay clean.
→ Karen is the most important thing in the world to him, period. He’ll do anything to ensure she can live whatever kind of life she wants in the future.
→ He works at City Wok, but does various odd jobs around town for extra cash, too. Between this and being Mysterion ( and school, whenever he would bother to show up ), he doesn’t get a lot of sleep. When he can feel his body giving out under him from exhaustion, he’ll put himself down. It’s faster than taking the time to sleep and recover.
→ This is his solution to pretty much any severe injury or ailment. He’s gotten sort of desensitized to shooting himself in the head. He has no reason to believe there’s a limit on his immortality, but just in case he doesn’t wake up someday and is gone for good, he has a written will. It explains everything, including why it would seem like he committed suicide, if that’s how he’s found.
→ He speaks limited Mandarin and Japanese. A little Spanish, too, but that’s rusty.
→ He has a hard time having serious conversations, and is uncomfortable feeling vulnerable. Hiding his face makes things easier, whether it's with a mask or his parka. Aside from making sarcastic comments or vulgar jokes, he's pretty quiet and lowkey, and minds his own business.
→ He’s smarter than he lets on — street smart, at least. Not so much academically. He’s capable of being more articulate than most people expect, but he doesn’t act like it for the most part — it’s kind of nice, playing dumb or staying quiet to keep the pressure off. He’s not good with expectations. People’s expectations of him couldn’t possibly be lower, and in most cases that suits him just fine.
Regarding Mysterion
→ There's only one person who knows Mysterion’s identity at this point: Karen.
→ He started being Mysterion for Karen, when they were both younger, but as he got older, he realized that he was capable of protecting more than one person. He couldn’t die — he might as well put that to good use. If he couldn’t find a reason for his immortality, he’d make one.
→ He has no idea what the nature of his powers are, or where they come from. Some days he wonders if he’s even human. He has no idea.
→ As of right now, he's more of a "friendly neighborhood" type of hero. He focuses on stopping the flow of drugs in South Park, particularly to children and parents of children. He also keeps a burner phone, which the police use to contact him - usually about cases that are "boring" to them, or that they don't want to deal with. He's their go-to for domestic violence calls. He's a "guardian angel" to more women and children than just Karen now.
→ Powers:
Immortality - He can't die. This is his only real superpower. The rest of his abilities are physical or supplemented with weapons. As stated, he's become good at parkour though practice, and is agile and strong due to trial and error as well. Every time he dies, he learns and gets better. He carries a stun gun, a taser, and a pistol, among other tools. He hasn't had to shoot anyone with the gun other than himself.
